Legal and social awareness sessions

As part of the project (Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities in Iraq), #Baghdad_Women_Association staff of Listening and Counseling Center – Dohuk implemented social-legal awareness sessions dealt with (Human Rights and how to determine the target during the study) with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund “MADAD” in October with the beginning of the new school year.

The attendance of the session was 19 participants. The lawyer, Jihan Hussein, and social worker Dalal Aref, explained the objective of the session, which is to educate students about the basics of human rights and make them aware of the goals.

The outputs of the activity were to address the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 and the statement of materials that focus on the right to liberty and dignity, education and personal protection without discrimination because of race, religion or sex, and the social researcher focused on teaching them how to overcome difficulties during the study and determine their study goal.
