Baghdad_Women_Association in Dohuk conducted a legal awareness session on alimony provisions in the Iraqi Personal Status Law, and social awareness on the subject of self-esteem and enhancing self-confidence in Domiz 1 Syrian refugee camp on August 8, 2019 as part of part of the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities in Iraq”, with the support of the United Nations Women’s Fund and the European Trust Fund ..

The workshop was presented by lawyer Jihan Hussein and social Worker Dalal Aref, in the presence of 18 women and girls in order to familiarize refugee women with the provisions of the Iraqi Personal Status Law with regard to alimony, and enhance their self-confidence .

This session is part of a series of awareness sessions conducted by the Center within the project to spread awareness on various topics related to women’s lives.
