Cooking Activity in Al-Hamdaniya / Qaraqoush
Baghdad Women Association LC Staff in Qaraqoush implemented cooking activity as one of the activities of the Project “Enhancing The Strength And Resilience Of Women And Girls In Conflict – Affected Communities And Host Communities In The Nineveh Plain – Iraq”, funded by the Lutheran World Federation ( LWF) on 4th April 2019 , with the participation of (27) women and girls from Nineveh Plain . The event started by introducing BWA and the services provided by its LC to the women , after which the women introduced themselves to each other. The participants started making the Iraqi famous Dish (Dolma) and all the components of the dish were provided to them . They worked together and shared their experiences in cooking. The women expressed their happiness in attending and participating in such events , to develop their skills and reduce psychological stress, as well as making new friends. At the end of the event, gifts were distributed to the participated women and girls .
