Baghdad Women Association continues to provide educational courses for women and girls

#Baghdad_Women_Association staff in the Social Listening and Counseling Center in Qaraqosh implemented English language training course for two months (8 June – 29 July 2020) via WhatsApp within the framework of “Supporting Community Resilience and empowering women and girls returning to the Nineveh Plain, Al-Hamdaniya District” funded by Lutheran World Federation (LWF).

The course targeted 20 women and girls aiming at improving their language skills and increasing their confidence, the course includes sixteen lectures in which various the basics of English language learning topics were persented.

During this course, women and girls were able to acquire new information and skills and became self-confident and able to use the English language to express any questions, ideas or opinions without being anxious or shy, which was obvious through their active participation, positive comments, and their desire to learn more. At the end, they expressed their gratitude and satisfaction with the topics presented during the course. One of the 樂威壯 woman said, “I am a house wife, I was not so good in English language and it is true that I still mistaken but I got so much benefit from the course”. Another woman commented, “I enjoyed the course and learned a lot of things because English language is important so that we can communicate with other people from different cultures.”
