Awareness workshop on adolescence

As part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, implemented with the support of UN WOMEN and the European Trust Fund (MADAD), the staff of the #Baghdad_Women_Association in Seiji, Duhok, launched on 1st of July 2019, a series of awareness sessions on adolescent behavior.

Fourteen girls from Seiji village attended the inaugural session of the series, which will total eight. The sessions, organized by the centre’s social worker Dalal Aref, aim to familiarize participating girls with the features of adolescence, which is considered as a transitional stage between childhood and adulthood, and critical issues that they might face during this phase of their lives.
