Awareness session on psychological empowerment of women leaders

Baghdad_Women_Association in Dohuk organized on 9 August 2019 an awareness session on the psychological empowerment of women leaders as part of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund “Madad”.

The session, conducted by BWA community mobilizer Huda Rafid, was attended by 16 women and girls to raise awareness about leadership concepts and how to empower women to be leaders, play more influential roles in society and be better decision makers, particularly in relation to their personal lives.

The activity witnessed an interactive participation by beneficiaries who spoke about instances in their lives in which they played leadership roles.
