The Final Conference of Monitoring and advocacy for the implementation of the Iraqi National Action Plan…
Baghdad Women Association concludes the final activity within (Monitoring and advocacy for the implementation of the Iraqi National Action Plan for UNSCR 1325) supported by UN Women and Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) project by presenting all achievements and results achieved throughout the project’s life time that lasted from 1 November 2018 till end July 2020, the conference attended nearly 70 participants from ministries, civil society organizations representatives and activists, on July 30th, 2020 via Zoom App.
The conference was started by a speech presented by Mrs. Liza Nissan Hido / President of BWA and thanking all the government partners, civil society organizations, activists and journalists who contributed in supporting the project team during the implementation period, also a special thanks addressed to UN Women for their continuous support.
Comprehensive presentation of all the activities and achievements of the project were presented. Also, summary of the periodic observational reports that documented ministries achievements in the federal government presented by Mr. Haider Al-Awadi and ministries in Kurdistan Regional Government presented by Mrs. Amal Jalal. While Mr. Salam Khudir / Member of the task force – Ministry of Finance, spoke about the importance and impact of all the workshops that had been implemented by BWA targeting all the ministerial task-forces in both governmentsز
The conference was concluded with a special segment by a musical band called (Mashkhat) that played songs from the Iraqi heritage in celebration of of Eid Al-Adha and the end of the project.
