Seiji women’s empowerment sessions

#Baghdad_Women_Association’s Listening an Consulting Center in Seiji, Dohuk, organized a session on women empowerment for displaced women and girls.

The session, held as part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities in Iraq”, implemented with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund (MADAD), targeted 20 displaced women and girls from Seiji village.

The activity, part of a series of eight similar sessions focusing on women’s empowerment, was led by social worker Dalal Aref. It included showing of documentary films and discussions of problems facing women as well as suggested solutions to them, in a bid to enable participants to realise their potential.
