Legal Awareness Session on Sexual Harassment

BaghdadWomenAssociation held a legal awareness session on sexual harassment in accordance with Iraqi Penal Code No. 111 of 1969 according to article 396 , is part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, implemented with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund “Madad” On June 16, 2019, at the Siji Village Listening  and Consulting  Center, with 26 girls.

The session dealt with the definition of the concept of harassment, sexual harassment, electronic harassment and legal penalties against the harassers.

This session comes as part of a series of awareness raising sessions carried out by the staff of the center in order to raise the awareness of girls about different topics and acquaintances affecting their daily lives.
