Training course to teach computer skills in Qaraqoush
| Baghdad Women Association continues to provide educational courses for women and girls#Baghdad_Women_Association staff in the Social Listening and Counseling Center in Qaraqosh implemented training course to teach computer skills for one month (4 August – 26 August 2020) via WhatsApp within the framework of “Supporting Community Resilience and empowering women and girls returning to the Nineveh Plain, Al-Hamdaniya District” funded by Lutheran World Federation (LWF).The course targeted 15 women and girls aiming at improving their computer skills and increasing their confidence, The course included eight lectures in which everything related to Microsoft Office programs was explained, the advantages and disadvantages of the Internet were discussed, and everything related to social media and how to protect personal accounts and avoid falling into the trap of electronic extortionDuring this course, women and girls were able to acquire new information and skills and became self-confident and able to use the computer and the programs in it easily, and this was obvious through their active participation and their positive comments. At the end, they expressed their gratitude and satisfaction with the topics presented during the course. One of the women said, ” This course increased my confidence as I learned new things that I did not know, and I have got experience in using computer programs and the Internet, and I hope the association will continue to offer such distinct and useful courses”. Another woman commented, “What is unique about this course is that it is online, so I took advantage of my free time and sitting at home to learn and acquire new skills and information on the computer”. |
