Legal awareness session

The Listening  and Consulting Center in Dohuk-Seiji conducted a legal awareness session on the Iraqi laws in force and the subjects dealt with by each law on August 4, 2019. In addition to the activities of the voluntary awareness sessions offered by the Center as part of  the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities in Iraq with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund “MADAD”.

The session was held within the framework of a series of legal awareness sessions provided by the center’s lawyer, Jihan Hussein, in the presence of 12 women and girls in order to raise awareness of the laws in force such as the Personal Status Law, the Penal Code, the Nationality Law and the substantive jurisdiction of each law.
