The first initiative in Fallujah

The Baghdad Women Association, with the support of the (African Women’s Development Fund), launched the first initiative in the city of Fallujah out of ten initiatives, after it trained a number of activists during the month of February 2023 within the campaign (Young brides are often deprived of their rights), which targeted a group of leaders / Community leaders to implement initiatives to reduce the marriage of minors in Baghdad and Fallujah. Among the activities of the She Leads project (ending marriage of minors to ensure a stronger and inclusive Iraqi society), the initiative included a dialogue session on (the danger of early marriage and its repercussions on society). The session was attended by a number of political and academic figures And educators from the city of Fallujah. The attendees discussed the main reasons for the marriage of minors and what are the possible solutions to reduce this phenomenon in the hall of Al-Waleed Organization for Relief and Development, Fallujah.
