Services Providers Meetings

#Baghdad_Women_Association staff organized six meetings for service providers to operate referral pathway, three in Karbala for 40 participants, two in Baghdad for 26 participants, and an additional meeting in the Legal and Social Listening and Counseling Center in Duhok for seven participants. The meetings were organized on July 2020, via Skype and Zoom Apps, within the framework of “Strengthening Access to Protection, Participation and Services for women Refugees, Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and women in Host Communities in Iraq”, funded by the European Union, through the EU’s Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis, the EU ‘Madad’ Fund and implemented by a consortium led by EuroMed Feminist Initiative.

The meetings’ topics of discussion focused on the violence women were subjected to during COVID-19, and the services each participant can provide for women and girls. In addition, services providers shared with the project staff the contact details of other service providers such as civil society organizations and governmental actors concerned with women affairs in order to better coordinate upcoming activities.
