Service Providers Meeting – Duhok

Baghdad_Women_Association staff in Duhok organized a meeting via Skype on 21 May 2020, to operate and implement the referral pathway system for nine participants from international and civil society organizations, within the framework of “Strengthening Access to Protection, Participation and Services for women Refugees, Internally Displaced People (IDPs) and women in Host Communities in Iraq”, funded by the European Union, through the EU’s Regional Trust Fund in response to the Syrian crisis, the EU ‘Madad’ Fund and implemented by a consortium led by EuroMed Feminist Initiative, #EUMadadFund

The main goal for this meeting is to activate discussion and coordination between attendees and to introduce the variety of projects they have been implementing to target women, girls, children and men. Participants exchanged views and agreed on a new mechanism to refer women and girls in the case of one organization lacking services that are provided by another; the participants recommended to keep activating the referral system in Duhok to target and help more women and girls.
