Salon session for women and girls returning to Nineveh Plain
The staff of the Listening and Guidance Center in QaraQoush of #Baghdad_Women_Association implemented the Salon Workshop for Women and Girls within the project (Supporting Community Resilience and Empowering Women and Girls Returning to the Nineveh Plain, Hamdaniya District) with support from the Lutheran World Federation on December 9-19, 2019.
The workshop targeted 15 women and girls, as the first day began with the greetings of the project manager and social researcher for women and girls, then the salon trainer gave them the first and simple steps as a basics, in addition to an idea about makeup and other salon tools, some women faced difficulty in the early days, but after the training and follow-up of the trainer, they were encouraged to practice cutting, makeup, dye etc.
On the eighth day, the course was concluded after the participants helped each other, learned with each other which made them happy with what they learned in it.
