Core Humanitarian standards and Rights based approach
#Baghdad_Women_Association implement two training programs under the project “Building organizational effectiveness and quality protection programming with the Baghdad Women Association “with the support of the Lutheran World Federation. The training was attended by 6 employees of BWA center of Qaraqosh and Erbil office.
The first day of training are starts with the introduction between the trainer and the Trainees, followed by clarifying the concept of the standard and what are the humanitarian standards and how to determine them and the mechanisms of accountability for them, the basic elements in the management of total quality, minimum standards of human rights, the humanitarian charter and its references and principles,
On the second day and the third day, the main topics were discussed are named by: the rights-based approach and the rights holders, with regard to the international conventions and treaties such as the International Covenant on Civil Rights, the steps and mechanisms to integrate the rights-based approach in the programs of the organizations, Its relationship to the rights-based approach, its importance and in any possible area, the training also addressed the strategy of implementing the rights-based approach and the UN plan up to 2030, with the aim of producing knowledgeable cadres and a clear vision of human rights and standards.
