BWA and Partners Strengthen Skills to Prevent Digital Violence Against Women

Successful Completion of the Training on “Combating Digital Violence Against Women and Girls”
Baghdad Women Association, in partnership with Women Empowerment Organization, successfully concluded a three-day training workshop, held on July 9-10, 2025 in Erbil.
The workshop addressed the topic of combating digital violence against women and girls, with a focus on raising awareness of the various forms of digital violence and its psychological and social impacts on women. It also covered prevention and protection strategies by building digital safety skills and using secure tools in online spaces. The discussions further highlighted the issue of hate speech and violence in digital environments, and how to confront it from a human rights and community-based perspective.
The training brought together a group of activists and representatives from civil society organizations from various governorates, as part of ongoing efforts to promote digital awareness and empower women and girls with tools for protection and advocacy in the digital space.
This activity was conducted as part of the project “Call to Action Field Implementation– Phase II (CAFI II),” in partnership with CARE DE and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO).
