Strategic Policy Development Sessions for Women Empowerment Programs

Baghdad Women Association held sessions to develop strategic policies for women empowerment programs from May 26th to 29th, 2024, in Fallujah, Anbar, with the participation of 10 attendees from civil society organizations as part of a project Strengthening Women’s Rights Movements on the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda in three fragile contexts” in partnership with CARE International in Iraq and with funding support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The sessions focused on several topics aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability within institutions by establishing clear and updated policies, as well as supporting sustainable development, expanding activities and resources for institutions, and including practical applications for case studies and theory of change, to enhance their understanding and skills in developing strategic policies for women empowerment programs.

This activity aims to create an environment that encourages equality and sustainable development and enhances the role of women in building communities.
