The first online meeting for coexistence and exchange of experiences with Mrs.Khanim Latif

#Baghdad_Women_Association implemented the first online meeting for coexistence and exchange of experiences with Mrs.Khanim Latif, advisor to the President for Women Affairs, as part of the #Our_Family_We_Protect_It campaign within the frameworkof (Enhancing the Role of Women in Leadership and Decision-making) funded by Norwegian People’s Aid on August 8, 2020, with the participation of 18 civil, political and media activists.

The meeting facilitator, Attorney Rasha Khalid, the project manager, focused her topics on presenting the civil history and political experience of Mrs. Khanim, including her strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges, followed by a discussion of the reality of legal legislation related to women’s rights in Kurdistan as well as the psychological effects of the Corona epidemic on women in the Kurdistan. The meeting, which included the exchange of civil and political experiences and lessons, concluded with several recommendations, the most prominent of which is the economic empowerment of women, being the one who gives them strength within her family and society, as well as the perseverance, strength of will and determination, as they are the main elements that support women in confronting and overcoming all difficulties and challenges.
