Elections Project

The project team of Strengthening Political and Civil Participation of Women in Baghdad implemented many activities during April 2021 as part of the Mahalla 21 Campaign, including: Two webinars via  Zoom about topics related to elections (voter gains from the new election law – the division of electoral districts in Iraq). Approximately 80 participants from all over Iraq attended these webinars. In addition, a debate was conducted on the topic (participation in elections is better than boycotting) with 42 attendance, which was very popular in the community.

The project and the implemented activities aim to increase civil awareness of young women and men, in addition to addressing political and electoral issues that are the main goal of implementing the project’s activities.
