BWA Sinjar Center Celebrates the Association’s 22nd Anniversary

On the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of Baghdad Women Association (BWA), the Association’s Sinjar Center organized a special community session on 14 June 2026, bringing together 20 women from the local community to celebrate the organization’s journey and achievements.

The session highlighted BWA’s work in Sinjar between 2021 and 2026, showcasing the services provided to thousands of women through psychosocial support, community activities, and empowerment programs designed to improve the well-being of women and girls.

Participants also learned about the role of the Community Counseling Center in Sinjar and its contribution to supporting women affected by the 2014 conflict, including survivors. The session featured several success stories that demonstrated the positive impact of the Association’s work and the resilience of women in the community.

The event also introduced first-time participants to BWA’s services and programs, providing information on how women and girls can access available support. Participants expressed their appreciation for the Association’s continued efforts to empower women, strengthen their capacities, and contribute to the well-being of the Sinjar community.
