BWA President Participates in Closing Conference on Sustainable Climate Dialogues in Baghdad

The President of Baghdad Women Association, Eng. Liza Nissan Hido, participated in the closing conference of the project “Sustainable Climate Dialogues: Empowering Women for a Resilient Future”, which was held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Baghdad.
The conference was organized by Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the Project for Strengthening Dialogue and Participation in Iraq (PDP), with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and through the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The conference aimed to review lessons learned, highlight successful initiatives, and showcase the role of women in addressing climate change challenges.
The participation of Baghdad Women Association reflects its ongoing commitment to advocating for women’s rights, supporting women’s role in peacebuilding, enhancing resilience to climate change, and promoting sustainable development in Iraq.
