BWA Concludes Women’s Rights Project with Community Accountability Sessions in Anbar

Baghdad Women Association, in partnership with CARE International in Iraq and supported by BMZ, concluded the project “Strengthening Women’s Rights Movements on the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda in Three Fragile Contexts” through five community accountability sessions in Anbar during July and August 2025.

The sessions brought together local authorities, CSOs, and women beneficiaries to discuss needs assessment findings, economic empowerment, protection from violence, health, and education. The final session produced a comprehensive report highlighting key challenges and practical solutions, marking a strong step toward continued advocacy for women’s issues in Anbar.
