BWA Participates in Regional CAFI II Meeting in Amman to Discuss Lessons Learned and Civil Society Sustainability






As part of the project “Call to Action Field Implementation– Phase II (CAFI II),” in partnership with CARE DE and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO). On 26-27 November 2025, Arab Women Organization organized a regional meeting in Amman, Jordan, bringing together partner organizations from Iraq (Baghdad Women Association and Women Empowerment Organization) and Lebanon (Himaya Daeemm Aataa Association). The meeting addressed key lessons learned and challenges within the CAFI project and included a presentation on the main challenges in Iraq and the project’s results. The Baghdad Women Association was represented by the Programs Manager, Ms. Clara Samir Yokhana, who also participated in a panel discussion on funding challenges and the sustainability of civil society organizations. At the conclusion of the meeting, an information brief about the CAFI project was distributed, highlighting the key achievements in Iraq and the contributions of the two partner organizations.
