United Hands: Empowering Youth with Skills and Promoting Social Cohesion in Alqosh

Baghdad Women Association is pleased to announce the completion of the (United Hands )Barbering and Hairdressing Training Initiative in Alqosh Sub-district! Over the course of 5 days, 12 young men and 12 young women participated in separate training sessions, where they learned practical skills in barbering and hairdressing. This initiative was not just about vocational training, but also an important opportunity to promote social cohesion and peace by bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering cooperation and mutual respect.

The initiative was implemented as part of the project (Contributing to Inclusion and Social Cohesion in Post-Conflict Communities in Iraq), in collaboration with Adyan Association Organization, and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office. By providing young people with practical skills, we are contributing to opening new economic opportunities and promoting a more inclusive future for Alqosh Sub-district
