Strengthening Coordination for Women’s Protection: BWA Holds Service Mapping Session

On 21 April 2026, Baghdad Women Association (BWA), through its Sinjar Center and with the support of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), organized a service mapping session that brought together representatives of government institutions and local and international civil society organizations, with a particular focus on the protection and legal sectors.
The session provided an opportunity for participants to present the services they offer, identify target groups and geographic coverage, and strengthen coordination among service providers. It also highlighted the importance of effective referral pathways to ensure that women and girls have timely access to the support and protection services they need.
During the session, BWA reaffirmed its commitment to empowering and protecting women by providing psychosocial support and facilitating access to essential services. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue coordination and collaboration in order to improve service delivery and better respond to the needs of women and vulnerable groups in the Sinjar area.
