BWA Holds Training in Duhok on Addressing Digital Violence from Psychological, Legal, and Technical Perspectives

On the 26th-27th of February 2025, Baghdad Women Association – Duhok Office, organized a two-day training on addressing digital violence from psychological, legal, and technical perspectives. This training was part of the “Facilitating Resilience to Support Victims and Survivors of Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women in Jordan and Iraq” project. Held at the Dilshad Palace Hotel in Duhok, the session saw the participation of 18 employees from civil society organizations. Jihan Hussein, the Psychosocial Support Officer, addressed the psychological aspects, Colonel Shivan Ismail Hussein from the Directorate of Combating Violence Against Women and Family in Duhok presented the legal aspects and provided an explanation of the Law on Preventing the Misuse of Mobile Phones of 2008 in the Kurdistan Region, and Mr. Mohammed Abdullah from INSM Foundation provided insights on the technical perspective and how to protect accounts from cyberattacks.
