Baghdad Women Association Engages in National Campaign to Promote Women’s Safety and Participation

On November 25, 2025, Reem Sahib, MEAL Manager at Baghdad Women Association, took part in the launch of the 16-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Girls by the National Directorate for Iraqi Women (NDIW) under the slogan “Protecting Women… Ensuring Their Participation in a Safe Society.” The event was attended by government officials, diplomats and UN representatives, and civil society organizations. The conference highlighted government efforts to protect women, promote their participation in public life, and implement the Iraqi National Women’s Strategy 2023–2030, focusing on prevention, protection, accountability, and addressing online violence. It also featured a panel discussion on safeguarding women leaders and shared achievements in protection programs and women’s political participation
