BWA Participates in Water Security and Integrated Water Resources Management Forum in Al-Anbar

Baghdad Women Association participated in the “Water Security and Integrated Water Resources Management Forum” in Al-Anbar Governorate, organized by GIZ in partnership with OXFAM, with the participation of representatives from government institutions, civil society organizations, the agricultural sector, and water resources authorities.
The forum addressed key challenges related to the equitable distribution of irrigation water and reviewed the current status of water resources in Al-Anbar Governorate. It also provided a platform for direct dialogue between relevant stakeholders and farmers to discuss practical solutions and strengthen coordination in water resources management.
The forum concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at improving water management efficiency and enhancing climate change adaptation, contributing to stronger water security and sustainable development across the governorate.
Baghdad Women Association’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting community dialogue, fostering effective partnerships, and contributing to sustainable solutions for environmental and social challenges that affect local communities.
