BWA Participates in Roadmap Formulation Workshop on Protecting Electoral Processes

Baghdad Women Association, represented by colleague Alyaa Abdul Kareem, participated in the Roadmap Formulation Workshop (2026–2027) within the framework of protecting electoral processes in the information environment, which was held in Erbil on 14 -15 June 2026 and organized by the Independent High Electoral Commission in cooperation with the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA).

The workshop brought together representatives from the electoral commission and civil society organizations to jointly develop practical initiatives and strengthen coordination among partners to address challenges related to the information environment, and to enhance cooperation in the areas of electoral awareness-raising, monitoring misinformation, and countering hate speech.

These initiatives contribute to building a shared vision that supports the integrity of the electoral process and promotes informed participation.
