Empowering Students Against Digital Violence: BWA Marks 16 Days of Activism with Digital Clinic in Zakho University

On November 26, 2025, Baghdad Women Association implemented the activity “The Digital Clinic” within the Digital Violence Project, supported by the SecDev Foundation, and in cooperation with University of Zakho , where the session was held in The university of Zakho. The activity targeted university students, with the participation of male and female students from various departments, aiming to raise awareness about the risks of digital violence and to equip them with the necessary tools to deal with it safely and effectively. The activity included two main parts: -The theoretical part: An awareness lecture on the forms of digital violence and methods of prevention from psychological and technical perspectives. -The practical part: Providing direct psychological and technical consultations to support students in facing digital challenges with confidence and responsibility. This activity comes as part of the continuous efforts of Baghdad Women Association to promote a safe digital culture, empower women and girls to use technology consciously and safely, and stand against all forms of digital violence. It was also implemented within the activities of the 16 Days of Activism, in which the association participates annually to support the rights of women and girls.
