Awareness Session on Digital Violence Conducted at Nawa Women’s Shelter

A session was organized as part of the ” Facilitating Resilience to Support Victims and Survivors of Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women in Jordan and Iraq” project, in response to an invitation from the Nawa Center (Women’s Shelter). The session took place on January 20, 2025, at the Nawa Center, with six women/girls participating. It provided an opportunity to equip these women with knowledge and tools to help protect themselves in the digital world.

The main goal of the activity was to increase awareness among these women, provide psychological support during the sessions, and clarify the legal framework related to digital violence. At the end of the session, several basic needs (clothing) were provided as part of the support offered.

Overall, the activity successfully achieved its objectives, offering the necessary support to help women understand and address digital violence. The feedback and challenges encountered provided valuable lessons to improve future activities, making them more effective and accessible to the beneficiaries.
