Youth Mediators Conference that was implemented at the Swedish institution in Alexandrea – Egypt

Baghdad Women Association representative Mrs.Ghasaq Mohee participated in Youth Mediators Conference that was implemented at the Swedish institution in Alexandrea – Egypt on 5-6 May 2018. The conference was attended by the Ambassador and chief of 1325 operations Brigitte Holst, Charlotte Lindt of the 1325 operation, Mrs.Randa Hafoth manager of Women programs and representatives of NGOs of Iraq – Jordan – Palestine – Egypt – Lebanon – Libya – Yemen and Syria. The objective of the conference was to empower the largest number of youth especially from the Middle East and North Africa to participate in Peace and security. The conference which was for two days, also included presentation of some countries on the deterioration of political, economic and social conditions in the past and present, and the repercussions of those situations, especially political ones, on the status of women and girls in all fields, in addition to discussing and writing a set of recommendations related to the conference to the Security Council in the next phase.
