Training workshop on gender-based violence and reproductive health

Baghdad_Women_Association staff in Duhok center implemented an awareness session on 10-11 December, 2019. Within the project of “Strengthening Access to Protection, Participation and Services for women Refugees, Internally Displaced People IDPs and women in Host Communities in Iraq” which is funded by the European Union’s Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis, the EU “MADAD Fund” with the support of Euro-Med Feminist Initiative (EFI)

The attendees were 10 women and girls, which included introduction and ice-breaker exercises to stimulate cooperation and information sharing which aims at increasing the awareness of women and girls about such topics that are important to health and society and also to work on the intellectual and health development of society.

The results of the activity were the interaction between women and girls on the topics of the workshop with the trainer, in addition to the pre- and post-evaluation, and estimating the extent of benefiting from the workshop on the concept of GBV and reproductive health, in addition to the enthusiasm of the participants in working to spread this valuable information to the community and proposing the continuity of such workshops, and the workshop was also evaluated by M&E Officer
