Training staff of the Ministry of Immigration on GBV

#Baghdad_Women_ Association organised a training workshop for the staff of the Ministry of Displacement and Migration on “Gender-based violence and strategic planning from a gender perspective” in the presence of member of the Secretariat of the National Team of Security Council Resolution 1325/General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Mr. Amer Badr.

The workshop, held in the period 7-9 July 2019, is part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, implemented with the support of UN WOMEN and the European Trust Fund (#MADAD).

In addition to gender-based violence, the workshop dealt with topics that included practical gender needs, strategic planning from a gender-based perspective as well as gender responsive plans and budgets.

The aim of the workshop was to train officials in the best means to provide services to beneficiaries taking into consideration various gender perspectives.
