Training of Ministry of Health staff

#Baghdad_Women_Association organized a training workshop for the staff of the Ministry of Health on “Gender-based violence and strategic planning from a gender perspective.
The workshop, held in the period 15-17 July 2019, is part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, implemented with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund “Madad”.
The training was attended by member of the Secretariat of the National Task Force entrusted with following up the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325 at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Mr. Amr Badr and a number of employees of the Ministry of Health.
The training covered several topics that included gender-based violence, strategic planning from a gender-based perspective as well as gender responsive plans and budgets.
The activity aimed to come up with specific and clear gender concepts and a sensitive gender responsive budgeting mechanism in the Ministry.
