Three training courses provided by BWA in Mosul

Baghdad_Women_Association staff in the Social Listening and Counseling Center implemented three training sessions (salon course – cooking course) online via Messenger App and (first aid course) in the center during July, within the framework of (Promoting the Well-being Dignity and safety of conflict affected SGBV Survivors) Project, funded by NPA.
Each session included ten sessions for 49 women and girls beneficiaries, aimed at developing the professional skills of women and girls and enabling them to take care of themselves and change their lifestyle productively and positively. During the salon course, the women were trained on how to take care of the skin, care of hair, simple makeup and occasional makeup, and one of the beneficiaries stated, “I always have wanted to learn how to cut my daughter’s hair.”
s for the cooking course, the women were trained how to make sweets eastern and western dishes from simple materials available in every home. One of the beneficiaries stated, “I was very happy to participate in the course through Messenger App and I was unable to attend the center because of my family circumstances.” While the first aid was provided to women and girls inside the center, finally, certificates of participation were then distributed to the participants, celebrating their efforts, their commitment of time and following up on the sessions.
