Third Meeting of the Women’s Committee in Duhok

#Baghdad_Women_Association held the third meeting of the Women’s Committee in Duhok on 18 July 2019 as part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, funded by UN Women and the European Trust Fund Madad.

The meeting was attended by 30 women and girls at  Duhok Youth Center. The attendance was attended by a number of Women committee members , community leaders ,  local civil society organizations and representatives of government departments with a group of women benefiting from the services provided by BWA .

The aim of the meeting is to discuss and raise the existing problems in society related to women and their rights and the obstacles facing women in particular The participants reacted to the ideas raised. A number of recommendations were also presented at the end of the meeting and the problems presented at the meeting table to develop a plan to ensure that all obstacles, challenges and problems facing women in Dahuk governorate
