the third meeting on Activating the Referral Pathway -Tikrit

In the framework of the project (Strengthening access to protection, participation and services to women refugees, IDPs and host communities) funded by The European Union Regional Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis: EU ” MADAD Fund” and in partnership with EuroMed Feminist Initiative EFI, #Baghdad_Women_Association conducted the third meeting on “Activating the Referral Pathway” at Social, Legal and Counselling Center in Salah Al-Din on 28th March 2019. The meeting was attended by a number of community leaders from tribal leaders, clerics, local government representatives from the Salah al-Din Governorate Council, a group of Mukhtars from the local council and a number of representatives of civil society organizations, as well as a women’s group of sector managers within the IDP camps in the city. The facilitator of the session Mr. Husham Abd Al-Samad focused in his discussion on the role of Baghdad Women Association and the multisectoral services provided by the Center, followed by the having an open discussion with the participants in which they shared their challenges and concerns on the current situation of women and girls in the city. At the end of the meeting a referral map was put in place to help women in accessing the basic services.
