The Social Justice: Gender & Disability Workshop
Batool Huessein of #Baghdad_Women_Association has attended a training workshop about “Gender and Social Justice” provided by the Center for Gender and Development Studies at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani on September 14-17, 2019. With the attendance of a number of NGO members and activists in Civil Society field.
The workshop included an “icebreaker” exercise, sex and gender presentation, overview on social justice and class, media and gender, UNSCR 1325 discussion, overview on masculinities and service provisions, in addition to discussing people with disabilities as part of the social justice movement, a practical exercise in PSEA (Protection Against Exploitation and Abuse), and finally Participation certificates were then delivered to the attendees.
