The Seventeenth workshop of GBV awareness

The staff of listening and counseling center in Qaraqoosh which is related to Baghdad women Association implemented a workshop about Gender Based violence to 25 of returner’s Women of Nineveh-plain in 04 July 2019 according to the project (Enhancing the strength and resilience of women and girls in conflict-affected communities and host communities in the Nineveh plain-Iraq ) funded by  Lutheran World Federation LWF, the workshop started by introducing to the Association and the services provided by the center of listening and counseling in Qaraqoosh, the aims, the activities of the project, followed by many subjects related to violence, its types, the concept of gender based violence, the problem tree, the causes, solution and the results to avoided, also the workshop dealt with customs, traditions and the social role of women and men with differences between gender and sex also the workshop discussed the concept of power, types of power and it’s relation to violence, the workshop ended by opening the discussion between the participants and the trainer and answering their questions about the types of violence in the society.
