The second periodic observation report conference

#Baghdad_Women_Association launched the second periodic observation report that included achievements of civil society organizations working on INAP of UNSCR 1325 On July 9, 2020. This report falls under activities of (monitoring and advocacy for the implementation of Iraqi National Action Plan for UNSCR 1325) project that is supported by UN Women and Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF). The conference attended by (45) participants from civil society organizations, ministries representatives and activists.

Some of the most important recommendations of the conference were the absence of government support for programs and plans and this result the absence of strategy to implement the INAP of UNSCR 1325, lack of measuring work impact to find out the results of INAP of UNSCR 1325, the importance of having an accountability and M&E mechanism for the national plans and hold accountable for those who are neglecting the INAP implementation and lastly perform a lobbying campaigns on the government to maintain the efforts of CSO’s in promoting and raising awareness about UNSCR 1325 and the pillars of the INAP.
