#Baghdad_Women_Association staff located in the Listening and Social Counseling Centre in Mosul has implemented training courses (first aid course) inside the center and an online (cooking course) via Messenger App during August, within the framework of (Promoting the Well-being Dignity and safety of conflict affected SGBV Survivors) Project, funded by NPA.
Each course included ten sessions for 32 beneficiaries of women and girls aiming at developing professional skills for women and girls and changing their lifestyle in a positive and productive way. During the first aid course that was provided inside the centre. The sessions included practical application of everything that a paramedic provides to the injured person in emergency situations and accidents during the first minutes of the injury; certificates of participation were distributed to the participants along with a first aid bag and a celebration of their efforts and their commitment to time and follow-up sessions despite the difficulty of the current situation.
As for the cooking course, women were trained for making sweets and how to make eastern and western dishes from simple materials that are available in every home. One of the beneficiaries stated, “I was very happy to participate in the course via Messenger App, as I was not able to come to the centre due to my special circumstances.”
