Summary of the project to Enhancing Support for Women and Girls Affected by Sexual and Gender-Based Violence – Duhok and Domiz1 camp for the month of December – 2021

The staff of the project to Enhancing Support for Women and Girls Affected by Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Domiz 1 camp celebrated the International Day of Persons with Special Needs on December 2, 2021, with the support of the Lutheran World Federation. The ceremony was attended by 160 people from Domiz camp, the camp administration, and representatives of the organizations that work in the camp.

 The aim of this celebration was to integrate people with Special Needs into society and provide psychological support to them and their families and Educate the community about the importance of

paying attention to this category.

• An awareness session on gender-based violence was also organized for 12 female refugees in Domiz 1 camp, as part of the activities of the 16 Days activism to Combat Violence against Women.
