Second awareness workshop on GBV
Baghdad Women Association’s staff of Listening and Counselling Center –Qaraqush, implemented the second awareness workshop on GBV on 13th March 2019 and within the project ” Enhancing the strength and resilience of women and girls in conflict-affected communities and host communities in the Nineveh Plain – Iraq” supported by LWF. The workshop started by giving a quick review of the Association and the services provided by Qaraqush center. The subjects of the workshop were violence and its cause, the concept of GBV, the difference between sex and gender, the concept of power, command, the relation between power and violence. The workshop concluded by discussion of the participants on their opinion on violence and each participant shared her experience on violence they have faced.
