Participation in an expanded conference for the Independent High Commission of elections in Iraq

Baghdad Women Association participated by its colleague Mrs. Reem Sahib, in the expanded conference that was conducted by the Independent High Commission of elections in Iraq under the slogan (Record… be present) on 30th April 2019 at Al-Zawra Hall in Al-Rasheed Hotel. The conference aimed the representatives of political parties and alliances, local and international civil society organizations and opinion leaders to explain the mechanism that challenged the registration of the voter.
The conference focused on the preparations of the upcoming elections and the role of civil society organizations and political parties in encouraging and urging citizens to update the register of voters before the deadline of 11th May 2019. The Commission also talked about the mechanisms that are used to update the registration of the voter. The conference ended with the opening of the discussion between the Commission and the participating organizations and parties and answering their questions.
