Ministry of Labour personnel receive training on GBV and gender-sensitive budgeting

BaghdadWomenAssociation organized a training workshop for the staff of the Ministry of Labour on “Gender-based violence and strategic planning from a gender perspective.”

The workshop, held in the period 28-30 July 2019, is part of the activities of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities in Iraq”, implemented with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund “Madad”.

The training covered several topics that included gender-based violence, strategic planning from a gender-based perspective as well as gender responsive plans and budgets.

The activity aimed to come up with specific and clear gender concepts and a sensitive gender-responsive budgeting mechanism in the Ministry.
