Meetings of legislative committee start in BWA Headquarter

Meetings of legislative committee, sponsored by Eliminate from discrimination & violence against women project, on discussing discriminative legislative articles in Iraqi personal status law No 88 issued in 1959, started in BWA Headquarter on Sunday dated 23rd of August 2015.

The meeting resulted to submitting proposals of legislative articles in order to be included in an official document in order to be adopted in the coming campaigns of the project.

This meeting, attended by the legislative committee consisting of representatives of Iraqi ministries & CSOs, comes as a part of the requirements of the project, funded by NPA, that includes four meetings.
