Items produced by cash-for-work activities distributed

#Baghdad_Women_Association in Duhok distributed 30 newborn baby suits produced by its cash for work activity to hospitals in Duhok, Simeel and Dumiz 1 camp.

These clothes were produced by beneficiaries from the cash for work activity, conducted as part of the project “Strengthening the resilience of Syrian women and girls and host communities” in Iraq, implemented with the support of UN Women and the European Trust Fund (Madad).

The cash for work activity aims to enhance the role of working women and to help them to rely on themselves in the face of the current difficult conditions. In addition, the distribution of the baby clothes aimed to enable mothers to provide clothes for their newborn children, especially in view of the difficult economic situation facing many families.
