Implementing Legal awareness session

BaghdadWomenAssociation is still continuing in implementing the legal awareness for men within the project of “Advancing peace building and reconciliation through the inclusion and empowerment of women and girls in Iraq” With the support of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) organization. Baghdad Women Association provided a legal awareness session on Women’s Rights according to the Iraqi Personal Status Law, on 27, July, 2019. This session has implemented in Al-Hamdaniya district Bartilla sub-district, with the cooperation with Peace and Freedom Organization. This session targeted men living in Bartilla. The awareness session presented by the lawyer, Mawj Farhad, she gave a detailed explanation of Women’s Rights in inheritance and the conditions of marriage and alimony, and which groups that covered by the social welfare law.
